Rock and Roll Memorabilia Market
Megan Mahn Miller was asked to come on the Newsy program The Morning Rush to discuss the state of the Rock and Roll memorabilia market. Her appearance was in advance of this weekend’s auction of Eric Clapton’s 1968 Martin D-45. Clapton used this guitar in his first performance with Derek and the Dominos. The guitar was later gifted to musician Dave Edmunds. It has been in a private collection and was photo matched to Clapton’s original guitar.
The world record for highest sale of a guitar at auction is breaking more and more rapidly. Will this guitar outsell Kurt Cobain’s $6 million MTV Unplugged guitar? Find out at Julien’s Auctions Icon’s and Idols: Rock and Roll auction.
